Mingalaba: Monday - Friday, 1-3pm PT

Mingalaba is the first TV show produced in the USA for Burmese living in the US, Canada and portions of Central and South America. It is a live, call-in show that airs on MKtv, Monday - Friday from 1-3pm PT. We will discuss local Burmese events and have guests on the show that range from health and legal experts to community leaders and icons in the entertainment industry. Because it is a live show, we encourage all of our viewers to call in and talk to our hosts and guests.

Meet the hosts

Ye Naing is very excited to be a part of TV Mandalay, which has provided the opportunity for him to serve the Burmese community in North America proudly. He was born in Southern Burma, and has called Southern California home since 1995. Even tho he has a degree in Computer Science, his true passion is playing guitar, composing songs, acting and directing. He likes to travel to new places, learn new cultures and making new friends. Travelling to remote and isolated countries in central Asia (former Soviet Union) has opened his eyes wide open and see the different part of the world with more understanding. In his spare time, he loves fishing, camping and going into the wilderness just to witness God's creation makes him happy. He is looking forward to make this experience memorable, enjoyble and successful and like to thank to all the great people at TV Mandalay for giving him this opportunity.

Sundie is a first generation American of Burmese ethnicity and was born and raised in Yangon. Burma is where her heart belongs, because it gave her a strong foundation and appreciation for different cultures and religions. She moved to the United States in 1998 and since then she has made Southern California her home. She graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architectural Design. When Sundie isn’t designing, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling around the world, dancing, and doing sports. Even though Sundie enjoys doing a variety of many activities, the most rewarding joy she has discovered is doing “humanitarian projects.” She says, “I believe a fulfilling life is to grow, learn, love, share, and enjoy the companionship of the fellow travelers on this journey called life.” She is eagerly looking forward to working with wonderful people at TV Mandalay studio, and would like to thank them for this amazing opportunity to give back to the community.
